Sled Riding

Emme has been talking quite a bit about going sledding and making snow angels. Finally she got to go sledding. My mom and dad have a good sledding hill in the backyard so we bundled up and headed out.

We also celebrated Christmas with Lauren that afternoon and played a tough game of Phase 10

Christmas with the Jones'

On Dec. 26th, B. J., Emme and I and the rest of the Jones family went to Kemps Restaurant in Clarence for Christmas with Grandma Jones. We had a delicious meal and the kids sang Christmas carols (even Emme). It was a good time to visit with people we don't see very often. After lunch we headed to Shelbyville to spend the day at Grandma Georgia's and Papa Dehner's for another Christmas.

Jonathan and B. J. got a present from Myrna Bradley. If you want to know what the present was, you will have to ask them!! :)

Another great day spent with family and to stuff ourselves with great food!! We were very spoiled this Christmas and loved being able to see family and friends.

Christmas Day!!

This is the first year in 30 years that I haven't had any family gatherings to go to on Christmas Day. B. J. and I were excited to be able to spend the day at home with Emme. She got up about 7:30 and was ready to see what Santa had brought. We opened presents then fixed a big breakfast and relaxed the rest of the day. Grandma Pam, Papa Jim and Uncle Scott came over for supper and to see what Santa brought.

Christmas Eve at the Ratliff's

Every year on Christmas Eve we go to church with my mom and then back to my parents house for supper and presents. Emme really enjoyed the church service because they played The Little Drummer Boy as the first song of the night.

We had a great time!! About 10:00 Emme heard Santa's sleigh bells outside Grandma Pam's house (thank you Papa Jim) and said we needed to go home so she could go to bed.
