Santa's big gift!! A Dora Tricycle!!

Santa definitely did not forget the Jones household this year. Emme took in quite a load from
the big guy!! She got a Dora tricycle, Dora tent with tunnel, candy, hair bobbers, bubble bath and a few other items. We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and enjoyed spending time with your families. Merry Christmas from the Jones'.

Ready to go to Grandma Pam's!! Not too many naps
during Christmas!

Ready for Santa to come!!

We spend Christmas Eve with my mom, dad, brother and Alma Jo Lair, a family friend. We always go to Christmas Eve service then back to my parent's house for a great meal then presents. Emme has really gotten the hang of the "present thing" this year. She got a wagon and a shopping cart from Grandma Pam and Papa Jim. She got a Truman book, Truman puzzle and a picture of her and Truman from Uncle Scott. It was a wonderful time!!

A Visit with Santa

Mommy and Emme at Bass Pro

Emme with an elf

She loved the toy trains!

Telling Santa she wants a tricycle, wagon and
a bicycle.

Today, Emme finally got to see Santa Claus. My mom and I took Emme to Bass Pro in Columbia to meet the jolly ol' elf. I didn't know how things would go, but she climbed right up on his lap and told him she wanted a tricycle, wagon and a bicycle. Guess we will see ;). She also got to see toy trains and color a picture for santa. After that we went to lunch with Uncle Scott and Lauren. It was a great day and we made it home before the temperature got too cold. Brrrr.

Emme's Gingerbread House

The finished product

The happy gingerbread creators (kinda)

Emme's masterpiece

Yellow gumdrops on top

Green ones on the side

I thought Emme would enjoy making a gingerbread house and I wanted to help her do it. I did cheat though and got a pre made gingerbread house that just needed icing and candy. I'm certainly not Martha Stewart, but the house was a hit with my girl, so it was worth it. Here is also a video of Emme's new "cheese" for the camera.

Putting up the Christmas Tree (At the new house)

Decorating the tree at Grandma Pam's.

A Thanksgiving evening tradition!!

Our finished tree.

Hanging ornaments

Putting up her ornaments

Emme and I had a great time putting up our new Christmas tree (it's 7.5' tall since we have taller ceilings now). Emme likes to put all of her ornaments in one spot so she can keep an eye on them.

For anyone that doesn't yet know, we have bought a house in Leonard and moved into it just last weekend (opening weekend of deer season, not great timing). We did some work to the house before we moved in. Here are a few pics of the house.

We didn't get to trick or treat last year so this was Emme's first time going trick or treating. She had a great time. We went to the Halloween party and costume contest in Leonard then off for some candy collecting.

Mizzou Homecoming

Our new friend, Lauren!!

Truman the Tiger

Waiting to meet Truman. Scott had to run clear up the
street for Truman to switch to our side of the street.
It was worth it though, Emme got to give Truman a high five!!

Go Tigers!!!

Waiting for the parade to start!!

This past Sat. Emme, my mom and I went to Columbia to celebrate Mizzou homecoming with Scott. We went down Friday night to look at house decs with Lauren, Scott's girlfriend. We got up extra early on Sat to see the parade and to catch a glimpse of Truman, Emme's favorite!! Scott got her the Hello Truman book for her birthday and we read it every night. We ended up getting tickets to the game (thank you Connie Ray) so Emme got to watch the 'zou tigers win the homecoming game. Go Tigers!!!
